I first heard and saw Benjamin Zander when I was working at the National Library, Singapore.
He is an English conductor from the United Kingdom. He was a very entertaining and inspiring speaker. His uniqueness lies in his ability to use classical music to explain leadership principles.
I was introduced to his book “The Art of Possibility”
I did not know how famous he is in the classical music world until much later.
I came across this 20-minute presentation he gave at TED2008. He uses a piece of music by Chopin to demonstrate the importance of holding a vision. He encourages the participants to influence others and create “shining eyes”.
I also enjoyed his interpretation classes, always enlightening.
