My relationship with God improved tremendously after I started listening to Joseph Prince.
Although I knew God love me, Joseph Prince described the depth and intensity of God’s love for me. This strengthened my trust in Him. He taught me that I can hope and trust in Him completely. No matter the circumstances.
One of the most important lessons I learnt is to shift my focus from myself to Christ. Stop using my thoughts and behaviour to determine how I think God sees me. Whether He is pleased or not pleased with me. His constant love for me does not change with my ever-changing thoughts, emotions and behaviour.
5 Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.

He will never leave me nor forsake me. How secure! Only when I am secure can I truly live freely without envy and in contentment.
I am reminded of this bible passage in Matthew 11. Jesus said,
28 “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

I did not fully appreciate this saying until I listened to Joseph Prince. I didn’t believe that Jesus’s yoke is easy and His burden is light.
Jesus’ yoke is indeed easy and light because He removed ME from the equation. My guilty conscience and self-consciousness are very heavy.
