1/4 cup of rice wine vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
A little pepper
3/4 cup grapeseed oil
If you do not have grapeseed oil, you can use a substitute salad oil. You can use olive oil if you want the strong olive oil flavour in the salad. If not, use something mild tasting. Always use a natural white vinegar, it tastes and smells better.
- Pour the vinegar into a mixing bowl and add the salt and pepper
- Whisk it with a small whisk or fork
- Add the grapeseed oil gradually into the mixture and whisking it with a whisk to mix well
- Drizzle it onto your salad
A really neat way to combine oil and vinegar is to use a recycled jar from a jam bottle. Pour all the ingredients into the bottle, place the cap firmly on and shake away. If you are thinking of making a big batch, consider using the electric blender if you own one.
