This series featuring Ronald Howard as Sherlock Holmes is the first and only American television series of Sherlock Holmes cases. The series featuring Basil Rathbone are films, not television series.

Each episode is about 30 minutes long. Much like the Basil Rathbone’s films, they are only loosely based on Conan Doyle’s stories. Ronald Howard portrays a much younger more energetic and laid-back Sherlock Holmes.

There are 39 episodes and almost all of them are available on Youtube.

I like the light-heartedness of the stories but some of the mysteries are a far cry from the original.
